Crappy Tuesday, here I am.




Well, here it is, Tuesday, January 16th. I was off from work yesterday due to the MLK holiday. I had really been looking forward to this past weekend. Friday night was our, once a month karaoke. Saturday was a CD release party at Ben's Half Yard House. And, Sunday night was a "by invitation only" Christmas party at Ben's Half Yard House. Like I said, I was REALLY looking forward to the weekend.

Friday night: Very good night. I got in 3 songs. My friends told me I did 2 of them really well. The 3rd, I need to work on. That one, I was singing for the 1st time however. So, not bad at all. Very enjoyable evening even though I didn't meet any single attractive young ladies that might like to date me.

Saturday night: OK, first off, I was meeting comedian buddy and his other half at Ben's Half Yard House. He was doing a comedy show first, so, they weren't gonna be there until around 11 /11:30 or so. While sitting at home watching TV, I fell asleep in my recliner. Oops. Woke up at 11:15. Took a shower & got dressed and to Ben's in record time. Was there around midnight. The band was still playing. I had much hope that this band would bring in alot of fresh faces. It did, but, none that I had an interest in and they had an interest in me. So, not much happened that night.

Sunday night: Again, meeting my comedian buddy and his girl at Ben's. I got there around 9:15. Since it was a private party, they were serving free beer. Of course, I don't drink beer. So, my evening was Dr. Pepper and Coke. They did have food and a white elephant gift exchange. Of course, my friends and I didn't know about the gift exchange. That sucked. I was, once again, hopeful of meeting someone special. You don't need to guess... It didn't happen. In fact, by the time I left at 2 in the morning, I was feeling pretty low. Sitting and watching everyone else "hitting it off" was like thrusting a knife into my heart over and over. I really don't know how much longer I can keep going like this. Let me tell ya - IT IS NOT FUN!
