Wizard's on a Friday night?


So, for a change of pace, it was Wizard's tonight. Wizard's is sorta a sports bar. Lots of pool tables, darts, table top shuffle board, lots of TV's with sports. Comedian buddy, photographer buddy & I used to hang there alot. After photographer got married and quit hanging with us is when we started going to Ben's more often. The crowd at Ben's seems more like a crowd where we could actually have a chance of meeting and picking up someone. Wizard's never seemed to have that same feel to it. Lots of beautiful, young girls to look at. Just nobody that we ever really felt we could approach. However, Ben's has been pretty quite the last several Friday nights, so, we felt we'd give Wizard's a visit. They had a pretty good band playing. As usual, there was plenty of eye candy. No, I didn't meet anyone. OK, give me a show of hands if you actually thought I might. That's what I thought, nobody really felt I had a chance tonight. That's cool. Tomorrow night it is back to Ben's. I was met tonight by Comedian buddy and his "sorta" girlfriend. Things seem to be really going well for them. I'll admit, it was a bit hard seeing them together tonight. It just helps to reinforce my loneliness. Makes me feel like a thumb (anyone that knows me, knows this term. If you look at a hand, and cross the fingers, they are 2 couples. And the thumb is left all alone and by itself).

Well, the good news is that I move into my condo this coming week. Monday the electricity is put in my name and I have carpet cleaning people come out. Tuesday, I'm having a locksmith visit and Orkin visit and a new mattress and box springs delivered. Then on Wednesday, I have a new bedroom suite delivered. So, I'm planning on sleeping there starting on Wednesday. Oh happy, happy, joy, joy!!! I can hardly wait.

Lastly, I just got some more good news tonight. My buddy that moved to Idaho is planning on coming home to visit later this month. It will be really nice to visit with an old friend. Relive the "good old days".
